Description

TUNE-BOT
A REVOLUTION IN DRUM TUNING

Every guitar player has an electronic tuner for speed and accuracy in tuning. Tuning a drum is much more time consuming and difficult than a guitar. Yet, until now there was no such thing as a real "drum tuner". After years of research and development, Overtone Labs has finally created a fast, accurate, and effective drum tuner. This new invention is about to change the way you tune your drums, and more importantly, change the way your drums sound.

USEFUL FOR:
- Lug pitch matching

FEATURES:
- Lug pitch measurement
- Overall pitch measurement
- Frequency and note modes
- Overtone filters
- Difference mode
- 80+ Save Slots
- Easy to read display with backlight
- Drum hoop clip
- Drum tuning charts and pitch recommendations

How To Use quick start guide for tune-bot

Quick Start Guide For Matching Lugs
Step 1: Clip the device to the drum hoop. Make sure the microphone end is over the drum head. Press power.

Step 2: Hit in the center of the drum head to measure the fundamental pitch. Your drum must be mounted or on a stand to resonate freely in order to measure the fundamental pitch (the fundamental pitch is the lowest and loudest pitch your drum produces).

Step 3: Hit one inch from any lug. You should get a reading that is 30-100% higher than the fundamental. If you don't get a reading that is 30-100% higher, just hit the same lug again or try hitting a different lug. Once you obtain the proper lug reading, press filter. After filter is set, you will see the reading displayed in the top left corner. Also, the asterisk symbol will light up. This will limit displayed readings to +/-18% of the filtered lug reading, thus filtering out higher and lower overtones.

Step 4: Go around to each lug, hitting one inch away from the lug. Adjust the lugs to an even pitch. If the lug pitch is lower, tighten the lug. If the lug pitch is too high, loosen the lug.

Note: When you tune the next drum or drum head make sure to turn the filter off and then repeat the process and reset the filter to the relevant lug pitch. Also, if you change the pitch of the drumhead substantially (more than 18%), you will also need to reset the filter to the current lug pitch.

Quick Start Guide For Measuring Fundamental Note
Step 1: Clip the device to the drum hoop. Make sure the microphone end is over the drum head. Press power, then press note.

Step 2: Hit in the center of the drum head to measure the fundamental pitch. Your drum must be mounted or on a stand to resonate freely in order to measure the fundamental pitch (the fundamental pitch is the lowest and loudest pitch your drum produces).

Step 3: After you hit the drum, the nearest note will be displayed on the LCD screen. Also, a needle will show you whether you are sharp or flat of the note. If the needle points to the left you are too low. If the needle points to the right you are too high. Adjust to the desired note by loosening or tightening the lugs. The needle should point straight when you are tuned to a note.
