Backbeat

Backbeat has been set up to help promote music in New Zealand.

It’s a venue that is designed for private functions and events. Where artists/bands can showcase their material, launch their albums or play intimate gigs. It is also used for music related clinics/seminars, product launches, exclusive after-parties or hired out for private functions.

Companies and organisations such as New Zealand on Air, Big Day Out, TVNZ, TV3, Four, NZ Herald, Frontier Touring, Sony Music, Warners, Universal, Music Managers Forum, Air New Zealand, Craggyrange Winery, Oxfam, SmokefreeRockquest and Play it Strange have all used Backbeat as a private music industry venue to promote their causes.

Backbeat is situated at 100 Karangahape Rd, upstairs above the Auckland Rockshop.
