The Nelson Rockshop will open on 28th July 2010 to serve Nelson and the greater Marlborough Region.
The store is a large format store (over 400sqm) stocking a diverse range of rock n roll equipment as well as brass, woodwind and hitech DJ PA digital equipment.
Headed up by 20yr Christchurch Rockshop veteran, Brent Frampton and two local staff, the Nelson store can cater for all your musical equipment, care and repair, and sound installation needs.
The Hornby Store opened on the 28th March 2011 as a result of the main Christchurch store being closed by the earthquake on Feb 22nd 2011
In November 2013 the store expanded into the adjacent building allowing our sister company KBB Music to exist in the same building as ours. Rockshop Christchurch also extended it's floorspace making room for a wider selection of just about everything that makes the Rockshop great. More PA, more drums, more guitars, more basses, more keyboards, and a wall of ukeleles!
Rockshop and KBB Music are still situated opposite the well known Dressmart mall and The Hub which is Hornby's massive mall complex.
There is plenty of parking with close to 30 parks in and around the store.
The Dunedin Rockshop was opened in 1993 in a small shop in Filleul Street Dunedin then was relocated in 1997 to 67 St Andrew Street, the new split level open plan retail space enabled a far wider range of stock to be displayed, including a specialist acoustic room housing just acoustic guitars.
Dunedin can be proud to have it’s own Rockshop staffed by musicians giving expert friendly advice to the greater Dunedin area.
