The Whangarei Rockshop opened in November 2007 which was a welcome addition to the lack of music retail in town. This brought premium brands and advice to the Whangarei musical community.
The store is located in the centre of town on John Street and is open 6 days a week.
We have 3 staff members, all with extensive experience in music gear from either playing in bands for years, studying sound or running home studios.
The store is 280 square meters and is always full of great gear for everyone, from the very beginner to the most advanced user.
We pride ourselves in being good problem solvers. No question is too weird or too hard to answer. If we don’t have the answer you need we will find it.
We opened our doors to the public in 2004 and are proud to have one of the most impressive displays and ranges of musical equipment in town.
Formally located in the NZI Building on Spring street, the Tauranga store moved to new, larger premises on the corner ofDurham & Elizabeth Sts - opp Dick Smiths, in Oct 2009. Doubling (nearly tripling) the floorspace with a far better layout means more stock and an unprecedented selection for the Tauranga Community.

The Rockshop came to Rotorua in 2004 with the first store located in Hinemoa Street. After a few years the branch had completely out grown the building and we were bursting at the seams. In March 2009 we moved to a 380m2 modern, well stocked and spacious shop located on Eruera Street.
The new shop is twice the size of our old store and Eruera Street offers easy parking yet it’s still in the heart of the CBD. Our friendly staff are all experienced and competent musicians who are passionate about serving customers to the highest standard so that they can make the very best buying decisions.

Originally the Barton Street store was divided and shared with Piano City until the companies merged and the wall between the two shops was bought down in August 2007 making the shop into an impressive world class open plan retail space.
The Hamilton Rockshop started trading 7 days in April 2008 and is opened Statutory Holidays as well.
The New Plymouth Rockshop opened on the 18th of April, 2005. The store is located in the heart of the New Plymouth Downtown shopping district, with ample parking in front of the building. New Plymouth is a thriving musical community bustling with all year round activities. The New Plymouth Rockshop is proudly involved with all these festivals and the store has become the hub of the local musical community. We are the major sponsor of the very successful New Plymouth Singer/Songwriters evening, a regular local event that has become a major attraction in New Plymouth. We also offer regular Workshops on topics as varied as Finger-style Guitar, How to play Drums and/or Bass and How to use Recording gear.

Lower Hutt Rockshop opened its doors in 2005 on Dudley St, providing a convenient option to locals not wanting to venture all the way into Wellington. Customers enjoy access to plenty of parking in the CBD and a little more laid back shopping experience. Lower Hutt has become a shopping destination for the lower North Island.
