With the appeal of one of the first mass-produced 'single cut 'n' single coil' style of electric guitars still showing no sign of diminishing even after almost 60 years – and rightly so, why should it? – Vintage has added four interesting takes on the stalwart design to its catalogue. The V62 guitar offers a playing experience in this style of guitar that nudges the enjoyment factor well up to the upper end of the scale. The Vintage V62 offers a translucent blonde finish over its alder body, while the gently C-sectioned maple neck this time carries a smooth rosewood fretboard.
As always with the Vintage range, guitar design ubermeister Trev Wilkinson has overseen production, ensuring that the performance of the pickups on these guitars is more than capable of matching the good looks. As such, all V62 pickups are alnico-powered for maximum tone 'n' twang, alongside the conventional T-type horizontal 3-way pickup selector on the control plate.
And of course, Vintage's always-competitive retail prices continue to make these guitars amazing value for their specification!
