The Southern Heritage from Benavides Guitars is reminiscent of the Gibson J-45 and its classic style, but with the one-on-one attention to detail and modern appointments only a one man shop can provide. Sitka Spruce top over the famous 45,000 year old Ancient Kauri back and sides make for a ridiculously rare instrument with a tone refined from the Golden Age classic. The low, rich and deep bass provide a unmistakeable blues platform for its ringing highs to cut through. The traditionally shorter scale length of this slope-shoulder dreadnought make for ultra comfortable playability and contribute to a tone that is searched for by blues enthusiasts.
