Backbeat is set up to help promote music in New Zealand.
With a look, feel and atmosphere unlike any other venue in New Zealand, Backbeat is said to be a music museum designed for private functions/live music and public events. Celebrate NZ Music Month and join pianist and composer Kevin Field for a Jazz Piano Workshop at KBB Music Epsom on Wednesday 29 May, 7pm.

In this workshop Kevin will talk about and demonstrate his approach to playing jazz and share some of his experience and insights into what makes a successful jazz pianist.
Kevin will then be joined by vocalist Clo Chaperon as they perform material from Kevin’s recent album Field of Vision and discuss the art of communication between musicians.

All are welcome. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers. Expect to be entertained and informed!

Copies of Field of Vision CD ($25, cash only) purchased on the night will be signed by Kevin.

This is a free event.
