Serious band looking for drummer for regular gigging, writing and recording. We have an alternative, progressive sound with metal and funk elements, and are currently in the process of recording our 3rd album. We’ve had airplay on Kiwi FM and bFM with our second album, and have established a bit of a following through lots of gigging. Must be hardworking, hard hitting and a really good drummer, able to practise 2-3 times a week and have own kit and car. We are a 4 piece band: singer, guitarist, bass player and drummer, and we are in our early 20s so any age from 18-26 should be fine; if you’re good enough we’re not too hung up on age. Drummers such as Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, Danny Carey, John Bonham, Matt Cameron, Tim Alexander, Steven Drozd, Dale Crover, etc. are the kind of drummers we’re into so that background may be helpful, but certainly not essential; we’re open minded in terms of what we play and listen to.
