Keyboardist needed for a new band project, playing 'dancey' classics from the 70's and 80's Big Band legends such as Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, LTD, Rufus & Chaka Khan, Temptations, Rose Royce, Steve Winwood, Phil Collins, Commodores, KC & The Sunshine Band, etc, anything that had a big sound back then and still makes people dance today.

Requirements:
Proficiency in Jazz, RnB, Soul and Funk;
Ability to read charts/sheet music - but if you play by feel keeping accurate to the song that's ok;
Quality keyboard/s with great electric pianos/pianos, Hammond organ & string sounds;
Own amp;
Own transport;
Backing Vocal ability a definite bonus but not absolutely necessary;
Be available for practices leading up to first gig in March/April.

About the Band:
The musicians involved in this new band all currently play in other bands in the Auckland area, are of a high level of musicianship, and are wanting to have some fun performing in a big band set up as a side project.

Because of the numbers involved (possibly 9 members), it is intended that we play once or twice every month for events, weddings, etc, for people who are looking for that X-Factor Big Band sound.

We already have a Saturday night gig lined up for March/April in Auckland central, which could lead to a semi-regular gig. Because of the musicians involved, it won't be a problem getting more gigs at other venues.

What We Have Now:
A drummer, bassist, guitarist/vocalist, 2 lead vocals (female & male), brass section (sax, trombone, trumpet).

All we need now is YOU - keyboardist!
