| Wellington Rockshop - Drums Position: Retail Customer Services - Drums Status: Full time Start Date: Immediate if required and suitable
Position Summary: The right applicant will have demonstrated wide knowledge of playing drums in a professional or semi-professional context, drum products and relevant retail sales experience. Computer skills are essential. Ability in playing and demonstrating other instruments would be a considerable advantage. The Rockshop is, unquestionably, NZ’s biggest outlet for Drum and Percussion products in NZ presenting all the premium brands and supplying equipment and advice from learner to professional. You will need to be very comfortable with customers, secure as part of a team, organized and extremely motivated. You will be in charge of significant stock, ensuring the premium brands distributed by the Rockshop are presented, displayed and supported extremely well. You will be composed under pressure and demonstrate excellent follow up for your client enquiries. You will have a high degree of autonomy: Maturity, sound judgment, common sense and initiative is essential. The Job of Retail Customer Service is one of the most important in the Rockshop Group. You are one of the front line staff and your knowledge, presentation, reaction, understanding of policy and procedures, merchandising and selling ability determines how clients respond to the business. We aim for repeat business and winning “customers for life”. It is vital that every interface you have with a client is of the highest professional standard. We have policies and procedures but, the main emphasis is to keep the client satisfied wherever possible. You will have some specific duties that will be assigned by your Management Team. However, while you may have specialist skills that dictate the majority of your functions you will be expected to “crossover” into all other areas of the store and be familiar with their general stock, functions, resources, and standards.
